Christians began meeting as the church in Corvallis when a couple of families living here saw
something of the vision of the local churches while visiting churches in nearby cities. For many
years the church consisted of this core of families; in addition, other members who came to Corvallis
to attend Oregon State University met with the church while they were in college, but moved away once
they had finished their education.
In the early 1990s, the small core of believers here began to seek the Lord more desperately to be
revitalized by Him. These gatherings, once rather routine, have developed a very special intimacy among
the believers in which the Lord has had a way to heal the believers’ inward parts. As this healing and
vitalization progresses, slowly but steadily more families are entering into the fellowship of the local
church.
As a result of this revival, a renewed commitment to care for the students at OSU has emerged. A full-time
work with the college students has gradually developed, with a meeting hall for church gatherings one block
away from campus, and daily care provided for the students.
